New Sport for All Pavilion

The location of the site is on the south eastern edge of Kingston Bagpuize village and is effectively the open sports area comprising of the existing football and cricket fields and the existing parking area running on the western edge of the site.

The proposal replaces the existing pavilion with a new facility that can serve multiple sports.

The pavilion contains new changing facilities for players and officials, WC’s for both able bodied and disabled; a small club and social room with associated kitchen and servery facilities.

The new building acts as an entrance to the sport grounds. The design form is a deliberately simple and agricultural aesthetic.

The pavilion has very good levels of insulation to exceed u-values as specified in Part L of the Building Regulations and uses environmentally friendly materials with regards to embodied energy and lifespan.

The new pavilion massively improves the experience for those who regularly visit and play at the sports field.

The scheme constitutes a socially beneficial package with associated economic benefit to the local community.

  • Highly insulated and thermally efficient
  • Cricket, Football and social gathering
  • High levels of natural light
  • Clubroom and kitchen
  • Cost effective design
  • Very tight budget constraints
