Oxfordshire Village Expansion
The masterplan demonstrated that 31 high quality homes could be comfortably accommodated, 12 homes would be affordable to help meet the identified needs of the village.
There is an emphasis on 2&3 bedroom homes in the development. The homes will integrate with the existing built form of the village, taking on similar density levels and arrangements. It reads as a natural continuation and organic growth rather than a modern, dense ‘estate type’ development. Mixed house sizes and forms (e.g. terraced, semi-detached and detached) are used to replicate the existing urban grain.
We have taken a deliberately simple, traditional approach to the elevations to match the local vernacular.
