Sustainable Student Living

This project is located on a very small site in central Oxford and is therefore 5 storeys high in order to gain best value for the College. The building's flat roofs have been utilised for solar panels that supply all the hot water requirements for the building.

Externally the principal elevation revolved around a central glass stair tower that is clad in a variety of coloured glass panels with the rest of the building being finished in a coloured render. The structure of this building is a flat slab in situ concrete frame and all walls are of a dry construction enabling a fast construction and fit-out sequence. This project was designed to achieve BREEAM ‘Excellent’.
