New Industrial Park

We were instructed by our client, Forelle Estates Ltd, to submit a planning application for a 2.25 hectare (5.58 acre) site off the Dunball roundabout in Somerset.

Our brief was to seek planning for a petrol filling station and outline planning for five industrial units (B2) and associated drainage and road works. The petrol filling station would provide 8 pumps, a car wash, a 467sqm shop with external seating and 23 parking spaces.

The five units would provide 4,261sqm of industrial space across three buildings each with loading bays with an HGVsuitable service yard, parking bays, bicycle spaces and bin stores. These can be subdivided into offices and other core areas to allow for a mixture of occupiers and offer businesses the flexibility they require to adjust the building to their needs.

As part of the design, a large attenuation pond has been proposed that will address site flood risks and a cycle path that will aid cycle safety along the A38.

We received Full and Outline Planning Approval in June 2018.
