Staff Promotions!
We are delighted to announce two well-earned promotions within the Practice. Rob has been promoted to Associate Partner in our Bristol studio, and Alex to Associate in our Oxford studio. Both have made significant contributions to the Practice across a broad range of projects and continue to demonstrate the values and leadership we are proud to foster at Oxford Architects.
Rob joined the practice in 2005 as an architectural assistant and has steadily worked his way up through the company to his new role of Associate Partner, a reflection of his dedication, leadership and design excellence.
Rob has played a central role in maintaining our strong relationship with the University of Bristol, delivering a range of key projects - from the Arts & Social Sciences Library (pictured), completed in 2009, to the more recent 31 Great George Street. His contributions to the university span more than 15 years.
"We are delighted to announce Rob’s promotion to Associate Partner in the Bristol Studio of the Practice. As a graduate, Rob’s light shone brightly and over the intervening years, he has honed his architectural knowledge, skills and experience across all project types, and in all sectors of the construction industry. From concept right through to completed projects, Rob has continuously demonstrated his wealth of design, detail and delivery expertise on a multitude of key buildings and sites in the Southwest. His promotion is just reward for his dedication and commitment to the Oxford Architects cause and we look forward to seeing him build on this milestone even further in the coming years" - Tony Mullin, Partner.

Rob has worked on numerous University of Bristol projects, including 31 George Street (above), the Centre for Innovation and the Arts & Social Sciences Library.
“Alex has been central to the Oxford studio since he joined OA and thoroughly deserves his promotion to an Associate. He has led the production of information for the major re-roofing project at the Grade I Listed St Catherines College and is now leading the contractors design team in the delivery phase. Alex has also demonstrated his creative flair on several early feasibility studies for some of our Independent School and Healthcare clients. He brings with him a wealth of technical knowledge and capability in BIM, and has set about improving our BIM standards. Alex has continually role modelled OA’s values and we look forward to seeing him develop further.” - Matt Tromans, Partner.
