A new building to house data curation services plus 150 staff has just been completed for the Science and Technology Facilities Group on the RAL campus. The 1000 sq m new facility houses dense computer racking for data storage and retrieval in a highly serviced secure environment on the ground floor with 2 floors of offices above.  The 2,600 sq m offices are designed as a low energy working environment around a central atrium which provides ‘stack effect’ naturally ventilation.
