June 2010
June sees the anticipated completion of the £16.8m
Manor Green School in Maidenhead.
The 150-place Special School provides much needed
state-of-the-art facilities for ASD, SLD and PLMD pupils in
the 2-19 age range from within the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead. The new school has been sensitively designed incorporating a range of specialist teaching, therapy and support accommodation including a hydrotherapy pool.
Sheltered under a ‘green roof’, and with sustainability at the forefront, the School maximises the use and benefits of natural light and ventilation, with energy provided by way
of a biomass CHP boiler system.
