Works at Regency High School, Worcester have been completed following a £5m alteration and extension programme for Worcestershire County Council. Reorganisation of the special school provision within South Worcestershire has required the expansion of the school to provide additional permanent pupil accommodation.
Conversion from a primary school to a high school and sixth form unit, for special needs pupils has taken eighteen months to complete, due to the complex phasing allowing the existing building to remain in use. Extensions included classrooms, hydrotherapy pool and sports hall. Existing administaration and entrance area were altered and refurbished to uplift the original 1970’s buildings. The official opening will be carried out by HRH The Princess Royal in July.
